Surviving Childhood Sexual Abuse as an Adult

Sexual abuse on children has long reaching effects. Child AbuseThis heinous breach of boundaries, most often by someone who should be trusted, consistently leads to adult concerns with trust issues, self-esteem, sexuality, depression, anxiety and high stress levels. The impact of the abuse does not stop when the abuse stops. In working with clients, I have come to realize that there are many more adults who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse than previous reported statistics claim. In the US, one out of five girls before age 18, report sexual abuse and one in twenty boys report surviving such an experience. This is just what is reported and many practitioners in the field suspect higher stats. Childhood sexual abuse leaves many scars on the self-esteem, confidence, future relationships and enjoyment of sexual activity as an adult.

Inner Peace Counselors present a workshop on Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse covering:

1) How to Move from Surviving to Thriving,

2) Understanding Other Parts of Your Life That Have Been Affected

3) Methods for Re-Building Self-Esteem,

4) How to Transform Anger into a Sense of Release.

This first workshop is for women only. There are future plans for mens’ workshops.
